Tour Averages FAQ
What is the average driver distance on the PGA Tour?
The PGA Tour average driving distance is 306.3 yards for the 2026 season (PGA Tour ShotLink, through October 11, 2026). On a launch monitor, TrackMan's published tour average for the driver is 282 yards of carry at 115 mph club speed, 171 mph ball speed and a 1.49 smash factor. The difference between carry and driving distance is roll.
What is the average driver distance on the LPGA Tour?
TrackMan's published LPGA Tour average for the driver is 223 yards of carry at 96 mph club speed, 143 mph ball speed and a 1.49 smash factor. The LPGA does not publish a single tour-wide driving-distance average; in the 2026 season the top 100 players on the LPGA driving list range from about 261 to 289 yards (lpga.com stats).
How does my swing compare to a tour pro?
The most accurate way to compare your swing to tour averages is to hit shots on a TrackMan launch monitor. TrackMan captures over 40 swing and ball parameters per shot, including club speed, ball speed, smash factor, launch angle, spin rate, carry, and total distance. At NeoGolf D'Iberville, every bay is equipped with TrackMan iO — the same radar technology used on the PGA Tour broadcast.
What is a good club speed for an amateur golfer?
A 'scratch' amateur male golfer typically has a driver club speed of 95-105 mph. The average male amateur is around 90-95 mph, and the average female amateur is around 75-85 mph. PGA Tour average is 115 mph and LPGA Tour average is 96 mph. Club speed is one of the most directly actionable metrics — gaining 5 mph of club speed can add 15+ yards of carry distance.
Where can I measure my swing against tour averages?
NeoGolf D'Iberville on the Mississippi Gulf Coast has TrackMan iO simulators in every bay. Public bay rental is $60/hour and includes full TrackMan data capture. For a personalized breakdown of how your numbers compare to PGA or LPGA tour averages, book a lesson with one of our PGA Professional instructors.
How much does it cost to use a TrackMan simulator near me on the Gulf Coast?
At NeoGolf D'Iberville, public TrackMan bay rental is $60/hour and includes full TrackMan iO data capture. If you play regularly, a NeoGolf membership includes unlimited 24/7 bay access, which works out to far less per session than paying hourly. It is the most affordable way to practice on tour-grade TrackMan radar on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Can a golf lesson help me hit it farther than these averages?
Yes. Comparing your numbers to PGA and LPGA tour averages shows you where the gap is; a lesson shows you how to close it. NeoGolf's PGA Professional instructors read the same TrackMan iO data to pinpoint whether you are losing distance to club speed, smash factor, launch angle, or spin, then build a plan to fix it. Most golfers add measurable ball speed in their first session once they can see the data.
